Before settling on this hard shell, I scoured the web for ANY Incase, Speck, and Hard Candy that would fit my new baby, the Retina MacBook Pro. I wanted a name brand for quality, after all. However, when I couldn't find anything in stock (excluding one pink case made by Speck), I found this case on Amazon. At first, I will admit, I was a bit hesitant to buy a case for my new $2,000+ laptop from a brand I'd never heard of. But I gave it a shot anyway. Low and behold, this case is in fact just as good - dare I say BETTER? - than any Speck or Incase hard shell I have put on my old MacBook Pro.Pros:-Easy attachment to the body of the laptop.-Looks great! I personally disagree with the reviewer who doesn't like the four bumps on top of the case - they are hardly even noticeable.-Design does not add much bulk to the laptop itself. In fact, it fits quite easily in to my old Incase sleeve I used for my "old" (2010) MacBook Pro with the case on.-Appears as if it will show fewer scratches than most clear hard-shell cases. If you've ever owned on by Speck, you know how easily these things scratch. However, this case isn't *quite* as clear as Speck's, which will likely make it more conducive to hiding small scratches.-Fold-out legs for convenient desktop use. I've never seen this on a hard shell case before, but I love it! It makes for much easier typing.-Price: for $20, the price point can't be beat. And my case came with a free keyboard cover and stylus. Sure beats paying almost $50 for competitors' products.Cons:-Keyboard cover sticks to display upon opening laptop. This one doesn't relate to the product in question itself; however, if this company is going to include a keyboard cover with its products, it should ensure that it won't stick to the screen. In defense of iPearl, though, many other keyboard covers for the rMBP have similar issues.-Fold-out legs snap back in quite harshly - I've yet to notice any scratches/marks from folding the legs in and out, though I would recommend to any buyers to use caution when doing so to prevent damage to their new shiny Macs.Verdict:-For anyone who doesn't feel like shelling out $50 for a hard shell, this is a great way to protect your new device. In fact, you may never go back those other brands after using this product. Don't be put off by the unknown brand name like I was! You will miss out on a quality hard case. And let's not forget to mention the free extras - a keyboard cover and stylus!
