This is my second pair of Apollo Bio-Pro fins. The first pair lasted ~19 years, or 2,000 dives, until the tabs that hold the fin straps on started to tear off. In 19 years, I replaced the fin straps once, only as a precaution. I mostly shore dive, and these are great fins for fighting current, reducing muscle fatigue, and reducing air consumption (for long-distance dives, my bottom time increased by 20% using these fins, compared to my former fins). They are heavy (almost 7 pounds for the pair), but I have found nothing else (lighter, heavier, or the same weight) that will outperform these fins. Highly recommended for scuba diving, especially if you're a large persons, diving doubles, or dragging a heavy and large camera (as I do). They are too heavy for snorkeling, but if you use them for such, you only have to kick slightly with your ankles. My boyfriend has dived these fins for about 15 years - about 10 of those as a dive professional and this is his third pair - needless to say he loves them. Can not find them locally, so happy to be able to get him a replacement here. Thanks to the shipper for taking great care in packaging these for shipment so that they were well protected. Also very prompt and reasonable shipping - well worth paying the shipping costs.Loved them, actually a reorder of another color :)
