This picture light exceeded my expectations in nearly every way! In the first place, it's definitely an elegant addition to any picture in the room.In my case, I needed this light to illuminate a gallery wrap photograph, (I photograph and print/frame my own work). The gallery wrap was comprised of 4 segments. Each segment was 10 inches wide and 36 inches long and they were spaced about 5/8 of an inch apart, one below the other.I was concerned that the 16 inch True Slim LED Picture Light, (I selected the Oil Rubbed Bronze finish), was not going to be able to illuminate the picture as well as I would've hoped. However, all my concerns regarding the ability for this 16 inch light to illuminate my 36 inch wide by 40 inch high gallery wrap proved to be entirely unnecessary. This light does come with instructions on how to mount it to the frame of the picture. However, I always mount my picture lights to the wall and the same hardware they supply to mount the picture to the frame can easily be used for wall mounting the light instead.Because I've been mounting and lighting my own pictures for quite a few years, I found this light to be no more difficult to mount than any other I dealt with. Like any picture light I've ever had, there's always something that I would've preferred in the design rather than the way it was done.In all fairness to the manufacturer, it would be impossible for them to come up with the design in the hardware that would suit everyone. So I'm not taking off any stars because I prefer the intensity adjustment switch mounted to the wall plug adapter as opposed to being wired "in-line" about halfway down the length of the power cord. You'll have no problem judging the quality of the workmanship from the moment you remove this light from its packaging. The intensity adjustment knob, the light bar, and all the hardware that comes with it is top shelf and I do believe this light is worth every bit that I paid for it.The power adapter has an output of 24v and about 800 mA. This is 'atypical' of most of the adapters I own which control LED lights and wireless dimmers. In fact, I did consider wiring in a wireless on/off/dimming control until I noted that the Tru-Slim, 24v output power adapter, exceeded the input power of the dimmer. In the end, it really wasn't necessary anyway and the intensity adjustment control supplied by Tru-Slim was high quality and looked nice just as it was.I always run wire management channels for any and/all of my lights and I strongly recommend this for anyone installing plug-in style picture lights. I always use a level and make sure that my wire management channels, (stick-on type), are straight and level in every direction. In doing this, it's amazing how the wire channel simply becomes a "nonissue" and is nearly "invisible to the minds eye" even though it's out in the open. In fact, I don't even repaint the channels to the color of the wall because I found that to be an unnecessary step. The viewer focuses on the picture providing the pictures lit correctly and the wire channels are properly installed. At any rate, this is definitely a light worth buying! The general rule of thumb is that the light should be approximately 1/3 as long as the picture itself. The 16 Inch True Slim LED Picture Light had no trouble dealing with my picture and illuminated it very evenly at only about two thirds of the maximum intensity power level.I have every intention of buying several more when I can get the money saved up.Strongly recommend!Rich
