these things actually assemble fairly quick. the mounting hardware that comes with them is somewhat cheap but i used the hardware just to get it mounted in the right spot and then went around and welded the brackets on. the actual wings are still removable just clip on and clip off.they turned my 7'6" western pro plow into a 9'5" plow. made open lots much faster. its not just that they make the plow longer, its that the wings also angle forward helping the plow hold way more snow before it starts spilling off the sides allowing me to go farther in my passes before it spills off. so much time saved in clean up.they are not that heavy. they add maybe 50-75 pounds to the plow weight. i only have a 4800 pound front axle and it makes only a tiny difference.one thing to keep in mind is that you are limited to 8'6" width while traveling public roads. for my plow, that means i have to fully angle the blade to drive but if you are starting with a base plow that is 8 foot or wider, you may need to remove them (or one of them) to drive from job to job.... well legally anyways.I'll start by saying these things are a one and done shot straight out of the box. Pain in the side trying to install in the middle of winter outside. No clear instructions at all for install, check youtube for that. The wings bent where a normal blade would have a trip edge (go figure). After welding in 1/4 supports vertically along the bottom, and lots of hammering to try and get the metal back to shape, I had no problems for the rest of the season, BESIDES the rubber ripping on me 4 storms in. Keep in mind these things saw about 30 accounts a storm, so they took some abuse. I wish I could find a cheaper outlet for the rubber "cutting edge".As far as the wings go and plowing they are amazing. Should have done it years ago. Makes cleaning up peter trails MUCH better with waaaay less spill off.As far as the install goes they were average as I was first shipped two left side wings. Once I got the right side I noticed the old left and the new left was a tad bit different in size so I left the old one on there (as they were already installed) and just used the new right wing. Not much for quality control I guess. For the money they cant be beat. Especially when you figure you can get three sets of these to one set of Western with alot more fab time on certain plows.First the bad: I was sent 2 right wings instead of a left & a right. Now the good: a quick phone call had a left wing sent out fast. The build quality is very good. The install process was pretty easy. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I’ve yet to plow with them. No snow! Figures...I think they work well on my Western 7.5'. Fairly easy install if you have level floor and good drill bits. Back dragging isn't as good since they are rubber but still does a good job. Definitely saves at least 20% of time when windrowing to one side and pushing your piles down your plow lane by keeping the snow from pushing around edge.I installed mine in no time at all. Having the proper tools helps. These are built well and easy to remove if needed.Parts were goodwas unable to install it as the hardware wasn,t in the packagewas fairly easy to install, and cut plowing by 20%Works fantastic
